Fathers Day 2013 was spent at Lepe Beach enjoying the noise of the waves and the delicious bacon, leek, lentil and potato soup we took in our flasks. We managed to get some great pictures of out little Millie today as she hunted for her stick.
If you have not heard of Lepe Beach before then check out the map below. Its a beautiful location with something for everyone and has some amazing history to offer up.
Here are some pictures from our trip, it was great fun taking these photographs and we would love to hear your comments
On the evening of Tuesday 18th May, little did they know it but Titch, Tilly, Foot, Izzy & Chester were going to experience for the first time in their lives with their humans a beach ride in West Wittering, a moment each person and horse will never forget!
A total of 5 amazing horses were gathered together and traveled of to the seaside. As the tide began to leave the shores, it revealed amazing sands and a beautiful coastline. The sun began to set, the wind and rain had ceased to be and what was left was a beautiful scene to have their first gallop in perfect conditions.
This amazing event was captured from start to finish on camera and so the memories and views need never leave us …
Our visit to the English Heritage landscape in and around Salisbury
Another romantic day out together at Wardour Castle in Slaisbury enjoying our English Heritage membership.
Set in the peaceful Wiltshire countryside beside a lake, Old Wardour Castle, near Tisbury was once one of the most daring and innovative homes in Britain. It was built in the 14th century as a lightly fortified luxury residence for comfortable living and lavish entertainment. Today the castle ruin provides a relaxed, romantic day out for couples, families and budding historians alike.
On the 25th May 2013 I and Mel decided to take a trip to Winchester to see Wolvesey Castle. I had forgotten just what a historic town this is, full of the most wonderful history at every turn. The cathedral, the castle, the abbey and the farmers market kept us more than busy and left so much still to be visited. We will be returning soon to complete our tour and sample some more of the cake at “Ginger Two” cafe.
